Next, travel to the Galapagos Islands for:

• 2 weeks – Giant Tortoise and Sea Lion Conservation
• Weekend trip to Santa Cruz
• 2 weeks – Teaching and Community Work

Fly to San Cristobal and learn with conservationists and park rangers to support the Giant Tortoise and Sea Lion Conservation project in this unique location. Our partnership with the Galapagos National Park gives us exclusive access to the wilderness Darwin once studied. This hands-on project will teach you how to:

• monitor and survey wildlife, including giant tortoises at a breeding centre, and sea lions and birds out in the wild
• help control invasive animal species that threaten Indigenous wildlife, which is critical for environmental stability
• eradicate alien plant species and help local plants thrive
• support the community by participating in beach clean-ups and raising awareness of how people can protect animals and the environment

During your final two weeks on the island, your focus will shift to community development work as you join a youth centre to volunteer with children. Plan and run fun educational activities to encourage learning through play and help children improve their English. You’ll also have the opportunity to work with small groups of kids in the community for sports coaching.

In Kenya, you’ll take part in the following:

• 2 weeks Giraffe and Lion Conservation at Soysambu Conservancy

Experience the ultimate African adventure by living and working in the heart of the savannah at Soysambu Conservancy for two weeks to support our Giraffe and Lion Conservation You’ll get hands-on experience and learn from expert conservationists, while:

• researching endangered species and monitor local populations
• setting up camera traps
• raising awareness about the importance of protecting the environment
• removing invasive plant species
• maintaining natural water holes for the animals
• building hides for birdwatching and observing wildlife

Each day, you will get to explore the savannah and see wild animals around every corner!

Here’s what you’ll get up to in Tanzania:

• 2 weeks - your choice of project in Arusha
• 2 weeks - your choice of project in Arusha
• Weekend Safari

Travel by private bus from Kenya to Tanzania! Over the next four weeks, you’ll live and work around Arusha, at the base of Mt Meru near the world-famous Ngorongoro Crater and Serengeti National Park.
Join two projects for two weeks each, choosing from:

• Education
• Human Rights
• Women’s Empowerment
• Micro-finance

In addition to these projects, you’ll also enjoy cultural enrichment through a basic Maasai language course and be involved in a community development initiative giving you the opportunity to get to know local people and live an authentic cultural experience.

Over the weekends you’ll visit local markets and spot wild animals on a safari.

Your journey continues in Nepal, where you’ll spend the next five weeks:

• 3 weeks – Building in Kathmandu
• Weekend trip to Pokhara
• Chitwan park safari
• 2 weeks – Conservation Project in Chitwan National Park

Start your stay in Kathmandu, where you'll join our Building Project. Work alongside local builders to construct or renovate classrooms, toilets, and washing facilities at underfunded schools by taking part in tasks including mixing cement, laying bricks, and digging foundations.

When you’re not hard at work, explore the capital by visiting iconic temples, tasting Nepali cuisine, and discovering a new culture.

At the end of your third week, embark on a well-deserved weekend trip to Pokhara in the foothills of the Himalayas. Visit beautiful viewpoints, spend time by Phewa Lake and learn about Pokhara’s traditions and way of life.

You’ll spend your last two weeks in Nepal in Chitwan National Park, where you’ll work on our Rhino Conservation Project. Collaborate with professional conservationists to conduct wildlife research and protect the local biodiversity. You’ll get involved in a range of different tasks that will directly contribute to ongoing conservation efforts, from monitoring the rhino population to setting up camera traps and reviewing the footage and raising awareness on environmental issues and endangered species through workshops within the local communities.
